Self-Assessment

Self-Assessment of the PosAutomação Program

The activities carried out by the program within the scope of the self-assessment process, whether based on prior tradition or adopted following CAPES recommendations, can be grouped as follows:

  • Monitoring the overall performance of the program and faculty based on the indicators used by CAPES evaluation, internally weighted for reaccreditation and program management purposes.
  • Student evaluation of each course through an anonymized survey.
  • Evaluation by students, faculty, alumni, and administrative staff.
  • Periodic strategic planning with consolidated results as strategic initiatives.

During the 2021-2024 quadrennium, all these activities were carried out by the Self-Assessment Committee, composed of the following members:

  • Faculty: Max Hering de Queiroz, Daniel Ferreira Coutinho, and Julio Elias Normey Rico.
  • Student Representative: Paulo Henrique Biazetto.
  • Representative from the UFSC Graduate Studies Office (PRPG): Prof. Werner Kraus Jr. (also a faculty member of the program).

Institutional Assessment Conducted by PROPG/UFSC

Based on data collected from different groups within the academic community—technical-administrative staff (TAEs), faculty, administrators, students, and alumni—a self-assessment of all UFSC graduate programs was conducted. The study aimed to identify strengths and challenges of the program concerning infrastructure, teaching quality, administrative management, and research support.
