Program “CAPES/PrInt Automação”
The concepts of Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation, associated with a new phase of industrial and socioeconomic development, refer to the integration of the physical and virtual worlds in the form of networked systems, with the ultimate goal of enabling direct interaction between the customer and the industry responsible for manufacturing the desired product. This concept has been extended to the service sectors, both public and private, where complex systems are based on innovative ideas and technologies associated with areas such as Automation, Control, and Information Systems. In this context, the main objective of this project is to carry out a series of actions to give greater international visibility to the participating Graduate Programs, and to UFSC as a whole, turning them into references in the field of AUTOMATION, CONTROL, AND COMPUTATIONAL SYSTEMS FOR INDUSTRY AND SERVICES 4.0.

The activities carried out and the results obtained in the subproject “Automation 4.0” – Automation, Control and Computer Systems for Industry and Services 4.0, carried out between October 2018 and October 2024, within the scope of the PrInt Program (Institutional Internationalization Program) of CAPES, were sent to CAPES at the end of 2024. Institutional Internationalization Program – CAPES – PrInt
The objective of the CAPES/PrInt institutional internationalization program is to foster the construction, implementation and consolidation of strategic internationalization plans of the participating institutions in the areas of knowledge they prioritize; to stimulate the formation of international research networks with a view to improving the quality of academic production linked to postgraduate studies; to expand actions to support internationalization in the postgraduate studies of the participating institutions; to promote the mobility of faculty and students, with an emphasis on doctoral students, postdoctoral students and faculty abroad and from abroad to Brazil, linked to stricto sensu postgraduate programs with international cooperation; to foster the transformation of the participating institutions into an international environment; and to integrate other Capes support actions into the internationalization effort.
